The movie “Zenbu of Tokyo” is scheduled to be released nationwide from October 25th. The teaser visual and special trailer have been released for the first time.

This film features all 4th generation members of Hinatazaka46, who will be making their film debut. It has only been about two years since their idol debut, and this is their first time trying acting. The 11 members have been selected for the main cast, and they will confidently play students on a school trip who visit Tokyo.

Yoko Shogenji, who was the center of the latest single “You Are Honeydew,” will lead the film as the lead. The director, who brings out the charms of each of the 11 fourth-generation members, is Kazuya Kumakiri, who has released a number of innovative works such as “My Man” and “#Manhole,” and whose latest work, “658km, Yoko’s Journey,” won three awards in the competition category at the 25th Shanghai International Film Festival: Best Picture, Best Actress (Kikuchi Rinko), and Best Screenplay (Muroi Kosuke, Namiko So). He has created a youth ensemble drama that is completely different from his previous works, breaking new ground.

The scriptwriters are Shohei Fukuda from the “HiGH & LOW THE MOVIE” series and Ryoichi Tsuchiya from the Netflix series “Talk Survivor” and the movie “Mr. Osomatsu” starring Snow Man. From the planning stage, all 11 members were interviewed in person in advance, and they talked about their memories of their school days, episodes before they became idols, and their feelings about Tokyo. Based on that, they created a completely original script that incorporates the girls’ real stories.

What kind of “Tokyo” will these 11 unique and eccentric high school girls find as they run around the big city? Don’t miss this youth drama filled with a happy aura.

The teaser trailer begins with Ikezono, played by Yoko Shogenji, saying with enthusiasm, “It’s the long-awaited school trip! Let’s enjoy everything in Tokyo!” Selfies of Ikezono and Tokyo scenery are shown one after another, and the next moment, Ikezono is seen running at full speed from the Shibuya Scramble Crossing to make the school trip the best memory ever.

However, contrary to Ikezono’s hopefulness, ominous words such as “reincarnation in another world,” “mysterious death game,” “multiverse,” and “huge underground dungeon” pop up, which are not suitable for a fun school trip. Furthermore, the other classmates are seen waiting for Ikezono with worried expressions… What will happen to their youth?

The teaser visual released at the same time shows Ikezono taking a selfie with Shibuya’s Scramble Crossing in the background, with a handwritten itinerary and illustrations of Ikezono from Shogenji, who is excited about the school trip, creating a pop visual that hints at a life-sized coming-of-age story of a high school girl.

■ Comment from Director Kazuyoshi Kumakiri
When I worked with an idol before, I was impressed by their high level of professionalism, and I had secretly thought that if I ever had the chance, I would like to try my hand at making an idol movie. That opportunity came unexpectedly, and this movie became a reality.
Rather than photographing the Tokyo that they see, I photographed the women as Tokyo watches them – I put together this ensemble drama with this almost transparent gaze in mind.
Above all, I am proud to have been the first director of the 4th generation Hinatazaka46 members, who will go on to appear in many films and dramas. I think it captures their irreplaceable moments, so please be sure to check it out at the cinema.

■ Comments from Hinatazaka46 4th Generation Members
◇Yoko Masamoto(role of Yurika Ikezono)
When it was decided that we would be appearing in the movie, I honestly felt very happy. I was really happy when I heard that they would grasp our characters through the interview and make a movie based on that. Personally, I have a lot of interest in acting, and I felt extremely happy, or rather honored, to be able to appear with my beloved 4th generation members. I hope everyone will look forward to it!

◇Rina Watanabe(role of Chisa Kirii)
This was the first time for all the fourth-year students to appear in a movie, so I was very happy to be able to make a movie together. Director Kumakiri was kind, and it was his words that prompted me to cut my hair. I was nervous at first, but halfway through the filming period I was smiling all the time and was able to take on the challenge with ease. I hope that while watching this movie, you will remember the special feelings that only students can experience.

◇ Kaho Fujishima(role of Megumi Hanekawa)
I’ve always wanted to do something with the 4th gen, so I was really happy that we were able to take on the challenge of making a movie with all 11 of us. I went to the set with the thought, “I want to meet the director!” This is the 4th gen’s first movie, and I think it’s a work that’s packed with youth. I want you to experience the sparkle that only the current 4th gen can bring out. Please look forward to it!

◇Yoshiki Ishizuka(role of Shiori Setada)
I’ve always wanted to act, so I decided to do my best. Every day during filming was truly sparkling. It was really fun to create the character I was playing, feeling my way around and consulting with the director. I think it makes you genuinely think, “Youth is great,” and at the same time, it lets you experience the youth that only a high school girl can have. I think it’s a work that makes people think, “Maybe I’ll start experiencing my youth tomorrow.”

◇Konishi Kanami(role of Ayano Masutani)
I was originally interested in acting, so I was very happy to be able to try it with the other 4th generation members. It feels like all 11 of us experienced our youth together. We all had fun in the production, and it made me like the 4th generation members even more. When a long scene was over, the director said “That was good,” which really supported me. I think that watching it will remind you of your youth as a student, and I hope you will enjoy the youth of the 4th generation members together. Please do watch it!

◇Kirari Takeuchi(role of Mio Tsujisaka)
We had a lot of fun during filming. There were a lot of scenes where we were making jokes and poking each other out, and we really enjoyed it. The director was really funny, and whenever we were nervous or worried, he noticed right away and saved us. All 11 of us together felt like the epitome of youth, so we enjoyed it as if we were going back to the old days. The movie is full of the personalities of each of the 4th generation members, and it’s a movie that makes you feel like you’re young, so I hope everyone will enjoy it and laugh.

◇Hirano Honoka(Role of Miyuki Hanazato)
I was really excited and happy to be able to create a work with these 11 people. I was able to work at a really relaxed pace, with the support of the staff. (Co-starring with the 4th generation members) We’re always together, so I was a bit worried that we might laugh during the performance, but I ended up crying along with everyone during the crying scenes, and I felt like we no longer felt like we were “classmates” during filming. The movie is full of everyone’s individuality and characters, and I think it’s full of the youth that only we can bring out, so I hope you can feel that.

◇Hiraoka Jellyfish(The role of Mitsutake Yumeka)
I was happy that all 4th generation members were able to appear in the film. We have appeared on variety shows together as a group of 11, but it was the first time we acted together, so it was refreshing and fun to see our different expressions and acting. I think it’s a wonderful film that will exceed everyone’s expectations. It’s a film that will be familiar to those who feel that their youth is long ago. Please check it out!

◇Rio Shimizu(role of Wakana Tsunomura)
All of us 4th gen members have had many experiences up until now, but we are very grateful to have been given a new field that we could challenge ourselves in for the first time, and I feel that this work has deepened the bond between the 4th gen members even more. It was a really fun period. The movie is packed with the youth of the 11 4th gen members, the director, and all the staff, so I think you will enjoy it if you watch every minute and second from start to finish many times and pay attention to the small details. I hope you will watch it a lot!

◇Sumire Miyachi(role of Akane Yanatori)
Seeing everyone facing their roles made me want to try harder, and I realized and learned something new as I went along, so it was a really fun time. I think the richness of the 4th generation members’ personalities is on full display in this movie. It was the first time we acted together, and we all worked hard together, and it’s a great movie that was made with the support of the staff, so I definitely want you to see it at the cinema! Please do watch it.

◇Haruka Yamashita(role of Moe Kadobayashi)
As the 4th generation members have been doing more activities together, it was also the time when I thought “I want to know more about everyone!”, so I was happy to have the chance to get to know everyone better. I tried and tested things with the director, and I was saved by his words that it was okay to appear as close to my real self as possible. The movie is packed with the charms of the 4th generation members that you didn’t know yet and should know, and it’s a movie that you can experience your youth. I hope we can experience youth together!
