■Special Miyata Toshiya support video for the animated film “Ganbatte Ikimasshoi” released!
Kis-My-Ft2 member Miyata Toshiya has been given a sneak peek at the animated film “Ganbatte Ikimasshoi,” which will be released nationwide on October 25th. A special support video has been released in which he passionately talks about his impressions of the film.
Right from the start of the video, Miyata Toshiya is overflowing with love, exclaiming, “I love it♡,” “It’s beautiful,” “It’s cute,” and “I love it!” He talks earnestly about the beauty of the story and visuals, but the moment he is asked who his favorite character is in the film, he suddenly breaks down. Looking back at each character, he hesitates, and finally comes to the conclusion, “I love them all the most,” a comment so typical of Miyata that makes you smile.
“Ganbatte Ikimasshoi” is the story of five female rowing club members who devote their youth to rowing. The main character, Etsu-nee, believes herself to be insignificant and lives a boring life with nothing to devote herself to, but by devoting herself to rowing with her four friends, they aim for the same goal, and although they sometimes clash, worry, and suffer, they encourage each other and move forward.
Miyata commented, “I think a lot of sports-related works are quite fast-paced, but this one gives you time to think, and I really liked that time in between.” He went on to praise the film, saying, “It’s like the feeling of being a teenager with a heart like glass that could break at any moment. It really hit home.”
A 30-second version of this footage will also be shown in Shochiku Multiplex Theatres (SMT) cinemas from August 2nd.
