MONKEY MAJIK, a four-piece rock band based in Miyagi Prefecture, released their 14th album, “CIRCLES,” their first in a year and a half, on Wednesday, July 24th, and released the music video for the track “Imposter.”

“Imposter” is a stylish up-tempo number with an impressive cool beat and bass line, which expresses the melodies and sounds of the 1980s, the height of music’s popularity, through MONKEY MAJIK’s own unique antennae.
The lyrics of the song “Imposter” express the feelings deep within people’s hearts, such as frustration and helplessness felt in everyday life.
The video is composed of a short movie with the theme of “people in a hurry,” and we hope you enjoy it along with the song.

The 14th album “CIRCLES” includes 10 songs, including “Scramble,” which was released on July 3rd, as well as “The Good Life,” the ending theme for TV Osaka’s midnight drama “Chikyu no Arukikata,” “Borderline,” the April-September theme song for Nippon Television’s “Burari Tochuu Gesha no Tabi,” “Unknown,” the 20th anniversary song for Tohoku Labor Bank, and “MONKEY MAJIK x Def Tech / OG Summer,” a collaboration with Def Tech.
The DVD/Blu-ray version includes “MONKEY MAJIK Studio Sessions 2024,” their first-ever studio performance in a recording studio.

An in-store event will be held at AEON Lake Town Kaze Hikari no Hiroba on Saturday, August 10th. To commemorate the release of the album, a “MONKEY MAJIK 14th Album Release Commemoration! “MONKEY MAJIK Studio Sessions 2024″ Premium Screening & Talk Show” will be held at United Cinema Toyosu on Monday, August 19th.

Finally, the nationwide tour to promote the album, “MONKEY MAJIK LIVE TOUR 2024 ~CIRCLES~” will kick off at Zepp Sapporo in Hokkaido on Saturday, October 12th, and will run through 15 cities across the country until Sendai GIGS in Miyagi on Sunday, December 1st.
