[Wasuta]Is every episode of their signature podcast “a great episode”?! A new corner looks back on “famous (or infamous) quotes and scenes from the show” Mishina Ruka: “No matter which episode or what second you start listening to, it’s always interesting!”

The 16th episode of idol group Wasuta’s regular podcast program “Wasuta’s Nyandaful Radio!” (ABC Radio) was streamed on August 1st.
Starting in August, a collaboration corner with the program’s new sponsor, FUSSY, was launched, in which Wasuta members looked back on memorable quotes and scenes from the program so far.

Wasuta is a digital native generation idol group formed in 2015, with members Nanase Hirokawa, Misato Matsuda, Ririka Kodama, and Ruka Mishima.
The group is active both domestically and internationally, having successfully held their 9th anniversary concerts in Tokyo (EX THEATER ROPPONGI) and Osaka (umeda TRAD) in March this year, and last month appearing at Anime Friends Sao Paolo 2024, the largest anime convention in South America, held in Brazil.
Their 13th single, “Natsu Koi Dilemma,” is scheduled to be released on the 21st of next month.

This program will begin airing in April as Wasuta’s first podcast program.
The show has become popular, ranking second in Apple Podcast-Japan’s “Music” podcast rankings and holding a public recording event in June.

Starting from the broadcast on the 1st, the program will be sponsored by “FUSSY,” a support service that allows fans to channel their passion and feelings for their favorite idols into support, and a collaboration corner will begin.
The show is titled “Members choose! Famous quotes and scenes!” and will see each member look back on the many famous (or infamous) quotes and scenes that have appeared on the program, which has aired 15 times so far, and announce their “favorite broadcast episode.”

First, Mishima mentioned the third episode, saying, “It was the episode where Nanase (Hirokawa) improvised and sang a song called ‘Uma to Hitsuji’ (Uma to Hitsuji)!” In the Life Game corner, they had to improvise a song by following the instructions of the squares that appeared. Hirokawa revealed that she was perplexed by the unreasonable request on the show, saying, “This was only the third time since the show started! I was still a baby! (laughs).”

Hirokawa mentioned the fifth episode, which was his birthday, saying, “The time when I was being celebrated was simply fun and happy, but that was the episode where (Kodama) Ririka’s famous line, “Rely on me, Rida,” was born.”
During a segment where each member sent a letter of congratulations to Hirokawa on his birthday, Kodama coined the famous phrase “Yoririda,” an abbreviation of “reliable leader.”
Nowadays, the phrase has become so well-known that fans call out to him, “We’re counting on you, Leader!”, to which Kodama proudly replied, “Thank you!”

Kodama mentioned the fourth episode which she and Mishina aired together, saying, “(Mishina) Ruka actually made an announcement with the Kosan duo that was completely out of character for her,” which caused the other members to burst into laughter.
Kodama and Mishina are known as the younger members of the group, but in 2015 Mishina announced on her blog that they were the “Kosan Combo,” a combination of the initials of each other’s names, which was brought up in the fourth episode.
Kodama continued, “Based on Ruka and I’s characters now, I would probably say I’m in the third grade, but Ruka made a big announcement on her blog (laughs).” Mishina replied with a wry smile, “As a result, it just doesn’t fit my character now, but that’s the kind of person I was back then! (laughs).”

Finally, Matsuda looked back on the second broadcast, saying, “Matsuda and Kodama recording side by side. It was really funny that they called that style ‘Ichiran style’…(laughs).”
Kodama replied, “Because there was a microphone, I couldn’t keep my eyes on the ground, so it was difficult.”

Mishima summed up the show by saying, “Every episode is amazing, so it’s fun no matter which episode or what second you start listening to!”

This broadcast will also feature a new corner titled “Introducing My Hometown” to commemorate the nationwide live tour that begins this month.
The tour visited 10 cities across the country, and was packed with content, including recommendations for each city sent in by listeners from all over the country.

Starting from this time, a project will be launched in which listeners can create a guidebook for the program as a collaborative quest between the program and “FUSSY.”
If you participate in the quest, you will receive an original listener certificate from the program, making this a must-see for fans.

This program, which allows you to see the Wasuta members being themselves in the radio environment, is currently available on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, and Amazon Music.
