Rapper Sadajyo released his new single “The Grey Day” today, Wednesday, August 7th.
Sadajyo is known for his work on Abema’s “Rap Star Birth 2023” and as a central figure in the collective Musashi Village, which includes QN, Ariel Mirai, Jeff Loik, and others. This work includes two songs produced by BudaMunk. The two first performed together at the New Balance pop-up event “Grey Day” held at atmos Shinjuku in Tokyo in May last year, and have since deepened their relationship at events such as “The DOGs Lounge” held at Time Out Cafe & Diner in Ebisu and the store’s 15th anniversary party, which led to this collaborative release.
“The Grey Day” tells the story of how the two met over a smoky beat, while “A BRUSH” features a fearless rap over a track with a Japanese feel. This is a powerful single by BudaMunk, who has had a huge influence not only in the Japanese scene but also overseas, and the up-and-coming new generation rapper Sadajyo.
