Aichi-born rapper/singer-songwriter Lilniina released his new single “em@il” today, Wednesday, August 7th.
This song features internet-based music such as hyperpop and glitchcore, as well as a nostalgic Heisei-era electro sound. Produced by safmusic. The lyrics, such as “L0vE U with emojis” and “Sending more…”, depict the sad feelings of waiting for a reply from the person you love, with words that evoke the culture of the early Heisei era.
The music video, which is scheduled to be released in the future, shows Lilniina staring at her flip phone while waiting for a reply, and is set in an arcade, karaoke, etc., making it feel like an after-school date. It is said to have a color scheme and worldview reminiscent of the early Heisei period.
