Mao Abe releases her 11th original album "NOW"! The acoustic self-cover album "Acoustic -Self Cover Album-" will also be released on vinyl!

Singer-songwriter Abe Mao’s 11th original album, “NOW,” has been released.

Celebrating the 15th anniversary of her debut, this masterpiece condenses the “now” of Abe Mao, who is currently in progress, rather than looking back on the past. This work includes 10 songs in total, including “I’ve Got the Power,” the first song released after she left her long-time management company, “Keep Your Fire Burning,” the ending theme for the TV anime “The Unwanted Immortal Adventurer,” which began airing in January 2024 and gained popularity overseas, “To Advance,” a rock number written specifically as an image song for the manga “I Want to Forget You,” reminiscent of Abe Mao at the time of her debut, “Hands and Dance,” which features a large-scale singing voice and was released as a digital single in July, and “Everyday,” which was released in advance. Incorporating the essence of 70s and 80s rock and country, in addition to akkin and Kenichiro Wada, who supported Mao Abe in the past, new arrangers such as Zentaro Mori (masterpieces: SIRUP, etc.), Rayons (masterpieces: Predawn, etc.), and knoak (masterpieces: TOKA, yama, Furui Riho) have been welcomed as arrangers, and it is a work that makes you feel Mao Abe, who is independent from various things, liberating her current musical inclinations without being bound by images. Please enjoy the first original full album from KAGAYAKI RECORDS, a private label established in partnership with IRORI Records in 2023.

In addition, to coincide with the fact that Japan’s largest analog record event, “Record Day 2024,” will be held on Culture Day in 2024, it has been decided that the acoustic self-cover album “Acoustic -Self Cover Album-,” released in September 2023, will be released on analog record on November 3rd.
