HOME, a trio based in Okinawa, released their new single “Tell Me” today, Wednesday, August 7th.
HOME released their first EP, “HOME EP,” in December last year and have already been steadily gaining attention in Asian countries, appearing at festivals and events in Korea, Singapore, Taiwan, and more.
This is a popular song that has been performed live even before the release. It is a killer tune that crosses over hyperpop, indiepop, and shoegaze, and blends three languages, Japanese, English, and Korean, like a gradient. It is a work that combines the strengths of the three members with different musical backgrounds, and is a work that advocates a newness that is different from the past. As in the past, the artwork was created by member o-png.
A live video of the song was also released. It was directed by Dai Sato, who has worked on live video productions for artists such as Never Young Beach and Yogee New Waves. Taking advantage of the various viewing angles and media standards, the video conveys a stronger sense of realism at the live performance.
This video is included as a live recording on the live CD “Bang the drums. ’24,” which is now available for purchase on HOME’s official EC site. This CD contains a total of six songs, including three unreleased songs, and will be sold at live venues as well as on the EC site.
In addition, their first solo live show since March this year, “HOME PARTY’24 FALL”, will be held on November 6th (Wednesday) at CONPASS in Shinsaibashi, Osaka, and on November 8th (Friday) at WWW in Shibuya, Tokyo. Tickets are currently available for pre-sale on the official website.
