Chiaki Fujikawa will release a mini album in September, titled “Sumimasen, Ai wo Otoshite Shita de…”

Singer-songwriter Chiaki Fujikawa announced on her live YouTube broadcast today, August 9th, that she will release a mini-album titled “Sumimasen, Ai wo Otoshiteshita desu ga…” on September 18th.

This is the first physical release in about 10 months since the full album “Uchizo ga guchi wo koburu mono” was released last year, and the title of this work is “Sumimasen, Ai wo o shita shite de…”. The title was chosen because there is not a single love song on this 6-song work, which includes the ending themes “Sagashimono” and “Bonjin Kaika” from the anime “Rookie Old Man Adventurer, Trained to Death by the Strongest Party and Becomes Invincible,” both of which were released as digital singles in July, as well as a variety of genre-less songs. Fujikawa commented on this work, “This is the most amazing album I’ve ever made, and it’s so addictive that it makes me want to praise myself. If you doubt it, please give it a listen. No love isn’t bad, lol.”

The Blu-ray included with the first limited edition contains 16 live videos from the solo live “Fujikawa Chiai BIRTHDAY LIVE 2024 “Music is the sweetest utopia punch” held on May 3, 2024, and you can enjoy the live performance for over 70 minutes. In addition, the luxurious[Columbia Music Shop Limited Edition]has a CD + Blu-ray common to the first limited edition, as well as a live CD containing live sound sources, a 52-page photo book mainly composed of newly taken photos, and a three-sided sleeve case, making it a premium content. It can be purchased exclusively at Columbia Music Shop, and reservations have started.

In addition, it has been decided that release events will be held at four locations nationwide. In addition to an acoustic mini-live performance that anyone can attend, CD purchasers at designated stores will be able to participate in a personal item signing session, and a prize draw will be held exclusively for CD purchasers at the event venue. This is a plan where you can win special prizes such as live singing voices and two-shot photos, so please come and participate.

Chiaki Fujikawa successfully held her first solo concert in Shanghai, China in July, and will appear at the music festival “Lazy Two-Dimensional Concert” in Hangzhou, China on August 18th this month. She is now fully active in overseas live performances.

NEW![Comment from Chiaki Fujikawa]

After finishing the production of this album, I listened to the six songs again, and, wow, what can I say, there wasn’t a single song about love…

I thought this was a very rare album, but at the same time, I was a little worried that listeners who like love songs might be disappointed.

That being said, listening to it again, I feel like I want to praise myself and say that this is the best album I’ve ever made, and it’s a really addictive piece. If you’re in doubt, give it a listen, it’s not bad even without love, haha.
