On Friday, August 16th, the first day of the release of the movie “KING OF PRISM -Dramatic PRISM.1-“, a special stage greeting was held with the all-star cast. In addition to the four cast members, Terashima Junta (voice of Ichijo Shin), Igarashi Miyabi (voice of Takahashi Minato), Aoi Shouta (voice of Kisaragi Louis), and Kobayashi Tatsuyuki (voice of Takadanobaba George GS/Ikebukuro Ace), general director Hishida Masakazu also rushed to Shinjuku Wald 9 to appear on stage.
The audience, still excited after just finishing watching the long-awaited, full-scale restart of the series, immediately erupted in loud applause and cheers. First, Terashima greeted the audience, saying, “Sorry to have kept you all waiting!” Next, Igarashi called out, “Welcome back, everyone!” to which the audience responded with a loud, “We’re back!” Next, Aoi spoke kindly to the audience, saying, “We finally met,” and Kobayashi stirred up the excitement in the venue by saying, “Are you all having fun?” The stage greeting began with the general director greeting, saying, “I’m Masakazu Hishida, now the general director.” When the MC asked Hishida how he became the “general director” from this film, Hishida told the story behind his appointment as “general director,” saying, “At first, the proposal was, ‘How about the boss?'” in order to handle a variety of tasks beyond director, so he took on the title of general director from this film.
When asked about his impressions of the film, Terashima said, “King & Prince is something I can’t put into words. I felt that this is King & Prince right from the beginning,” reflecting on the film, which was restarted after a four-year hiatus. Igarashi also talked about the new commercials that were added this time, and was so excited that he said, “What is this commercial! It’s the best!” Igarashi’s love for King & Prince is so strong that the general director had to stop him, saying, “One minute! One minute!!” Aoi continued, “I was happy to be able to see everyone’s Prism Show again.
