BUMP OF CHICKEN to broadcast a special program on Space Shower TV featuring their latest live performance footage

■The program will be divided into two parts: a solo interview with Motoo Fujiwara about his new album “Iris,” and a talk by the members looking back on their first revival tour, “Homesick Satellite 2024.”

BUMP OF CHICKEN will release their 10th album, “Iris,” their first in about five years, on September 4th, and will start their dome tour, “BUMP OF CHICKEN TOUR 2024 Sphery Rendezvous,” on September 7th.

It has been announced that BUMP OF CHICKEN’s special program “VIP -BUMP OF CHICKEN-” will be broadcast exclusively on Space Shower TV from 8:00 p.m. on August 25th.

The program is composed of two main themes: a solo interview with vocalist and guitarist Fujiwara Motoo, who is also responsible for composing and writing the lyrics, about the new album “Iris,” and a look back talk by all the members of the band on their first revival tour “BUMP OF CHICKEN TOUR Homesick Satellite 2024,” which is included on the first production limited edition.

In Fujiwara Motoo’s solo interview about “Iris,” FM802 DJ Ochiai Kentaro, who has had a long-standing relationship with BUMP OF CHICKEN, serves as the interviewer, and in a relaxed atmosphere he talks at length about his thoughts on the album, including the origins of the album title and behind-the-scenes stories about the production of the songs on the album.

In addition, in the talk about the revival tour “Homesick Satellite 2024” from February to the end of April 2024, in addition to the four members, Yamada Kento, who was in charge of the stage direction of this tour, was invited to record the video used in the live performance while projecting it behind the members. During the talk, many interesting episodes pop up, such as the circumstances of asking Yamada to direct the performance, the attention to detail of this set and video, the impressions of working together for the first time, and the influence that this set and video had on the members.

Live footage from the tour, which will be included in the first limited edition of “Iris,” is interspersed throughout the talk, making the content of the talk feel even more real.
