GLAY to release new album! “GLAY’s 30th anniversary debut album, properly and correctly” (TAKURO)

■The order of the songs will be decided by drawing lots! Pierre Nakano, Shinya Kiyozuka, Ryota Yamazato from Nankai Candies and other guests will also be taking part.

GLAY, which will celebrate its 30th anniversary since its debut in 2024, has announced that it will release its 17th album, “Back To The Pops,” its first in about three years, on October 9th.

According to leader TAKURO, this work is “GLAY’s 30th year debut album”, and is a piece that is packed with GLAY’s pop music from various angles. The released artwork also shows the state of mind that the four members of GLAY have traveled.

The album contains a wide variety of songs, and features a diverse range of participants, including Pierre Nakano (drums: M1, M12), Kiyozuka Shinya (piano: M12), Koharu from Charan-Po-Rantan (arrangement: M14), HIDE from GRe4N BOYZ (chorus: M14), and Yamazato Ryota from Nankai Candies (lines: M14).

Surprisingly, the order of the songs on this album was decided by drawing lots. This bold move is also characteristic of GLAY, who are celebrating their 30th anniversary since their debut. You can see the lottery drawing process in the bonus footage.

Other bonus footage includes “GLAY DAY SPECIAL “LIVE BY THE SEA”,” which was released for one day only on LINE VOOM on July 31st, and the G-DIRECT limited edition will include footage from “SUMMER SONIC 2024” (GLAY’s performance part) and “Kaze to Rock: The First and Last Super Arena” (GLAY’s performance part).
