Hatsune Miku 2024 China Tour attracts tens of thousands of fans with Alifish and Damai collaboration
On July 28, the “Hatsune Miku MIKU WITH YOU 2024 China Tour Concert”, which was provided by Crypton Future Media and Shanghai Xinchuanghua Cultural Development Co., Ltd., the exclusive distributor of Hatsune Miku’s copyrights in mainland China, and co-produced by China’s leading copyright agency Alifish and ticket platform Damai, ended successfully in Guangzhou. The tour included a total of 12 performances in Shanghai, Beijing and Guangzhou, attracting tens of thousands of fans.
Alifish is Alibaba Film’s copyright trading and innovation platform. Based on Alibaba’s ecosystem and digital capabilities, it builds a link across the “IP2B2C” service to help global IPs develop in the Chinese market. Currently, Alifish has hundreds of top IPs, including Sanrio Family, Pokemon, Crayon Shin-chan, Universal Pictures, KAKAO FRIENDS, Chiikawa, Mofusand, Initial D, and Saint Seiya.
In the “2024 World’s Top License Authorization Agents Ranking” published by the authoritative overseas license authorization industry magazine “LICENSE GLOBAL” in April 2024, Alifish rose from 25th to 11th in the global license authorization agent ranking, positioning itself as one of the top agents in the global market.
In the past year, Alifish has provided Sanrio family and other licensees with comprehensive brand promotion and commercialization support services through its unique “IP2B2C” full-chain service model, effectively improving their brand awareness and rights business value in China. Its achievements have been well received by the industry, and it won the outstanding award of the Asian rights industry as “Asia Rights Project of the Year”. In addition, Alifish won the “Rights Agency of the Year” at the 2024 China Rights Industry Awards ceremony for its professional services and outstanding innovation for rights and operators.
For this Hatsune Miku China tour concert, Alifish and Damai provided professional performance implementation services, and carried out concert-centered publicity and IP business licensing, forming a model of “IP development + business licensing + promoting Alibaba’s ecosystem resources”.
After the concert was officially announced, Alifish and Damai were able to leverage Alibaba’s ecosystem resources and mainstream social media platforms to strengthen promotion and reach out to Hatsune Miku’s fanbase and general 2D culture enthusiasts.
During the concerts in Shanghai, Beijing and Guangzhou, a Hatsune Miku exhibition was also held on-site, combining exhibition, entertainment and shopping, providing fans in attendance with a diverse experience that went beyond the concert itself.
In addition, Alifish provided merchandise development services for the concert, and the sales area at the exhibition provided dozens of concert-related products for fans to choose from.
Alifish began developing and producing IP content events in 2019, and held the anime trend music festival that year. In 2023, Alifish will collaborate with China’s top music company Taihe Music Group to implement the original event IP called “My Sweet Life Festival”, integrating music festival + offline event + market. Taking advantage of its own rich IP matrix, Alifish will strengthen the development of IP content events, including IP special concerts, work signing sessions, anime music festivals, IP collaboration pop-ups, etc. In the second half of this year, it plans to launch China’s first Sanrio Fan Carnival, bringing a grand party to Sanrio fans.
“Congratulations on the perfect success of Hatsune Miku’s 2024 China Tour Concert!” Wu Qian, vice president of Alibaba Entertainment and president of Alifish, said, “Through the joint efforts of Hatsune and fans, many wonderful original works have been created and disseminated. Many excellent works have become popular around the world. Through its own IP2B2C full-chain service model, Alifish will continue to expand the influence of excellent IP, and hope to encourage intimate interaction between fans and IP through various activity forms such as concerts, meetings, and music festivals beyond rights licensing, so as to bring them closer to the charm of their beloved IP.”
