♪Vocals: Alisa Sunaga
His father, Larry Hisanaga, is a leading Latin percussionist, and his mother, Michi Ouchi, is a pioneer in Latin vocals.
In her late 20s, Arisa Kotonaga traveled around Peru in South America and was inspired by the Latin music she encountered. She vowed to “sing” in the mountains of Machu Picchu.
A vocalist with a natural talent and a flowing voice that is packed with Latin-based elements.
♪Guitar: Junichi Takagi
He moved to the United States in 1986. While studying under the renowned pianist Barry Harris, he also performed in sessions with Ron Carter, Mal Waldron, and others.
The leading flamenco guitarist.
♪Piano: Toru Nakajima
In 2001 and 2002, he performed in 10 cities in 7 European countries as part of his leader project “Haponiyasu.”
He has supported tours for bands such as Sing Like Talking, and also served as an arranger on albums by Lisa Ono and Toshiki Kadomatsu.
♪Bass: Yasuo Yamato
He formed the gypsy jazz band “BimBomBam Orchestra” with former PE’Z trumpeter Wataru Oyama and others, and performed nationwide. He left the band in January 2024 and is expanding his range of activities as a bassist.
♪Percussion: Yoichi Okabe
He has often performed with big-name musicians visiting Japan, such as Baden Powell and David Sanborn.
In 2021, he will perform at the closing ceremony of the Tokyo Paralympics as a member of tempo, a percussion ensemble led by Shishido Kavka.
♪Violin: Momoko Aida
He furthered his training through a short period of enrollment at the Municipal Tango Orchestra School of Ecuador.
Currently, he is active as an Argentine tango player and also as a solo violinist in various music scenes.
