MY FIRST STORY released the official music video for “Boyfriend” on their official YouTube channel, “MY FIRST STORY Official YouTube Channel,” at 7pm today.
“Boyfriend” will be released as a single in December 2023 and will be included in the full album “The Crown” to be released in May 2024.
This is the first official music video to be released for a track from “The Crown,” and it is produced entirely in CGI. It is an impressive piece featuring vocalist Hiro standing on the surface of the water, gazing intently at a giant that is swallowing up the masses with incredible force.
The song is co-written by Hiro and Nana Hatori and features lyrics entirely in English.
This rock number seems to express the inner thoughts of a person who has become somewhat suspicious of the person they love, with lyrics such as “If I were your lover…”
Your impression of the song will likely change depending on the message conveyed in the music video.

Formed in the summer of 2011 in Shibuya, Tokyo.
Since their debut in April 2012 with their first full album “MY FIRST STORY,” their solid songs and live performances have been a hot topic, and they have steadily improved their skills by appearing at large festivals across the country and performing with many overseas artists. Since then, they have been performing live energetically, and in March 2021, they held the “STORYTELLER TOUR 2021.” The final performance was their first performance at a hall in Tokyo (LINE CUBE SHIBUYA) in Shibuya, where MY FIRST STORY was formed. In July, they held the “MY FISRT STORY TOUR 2021,” and in November, they held the “We promise, 4 you once again Tour 2021,” and in February 2022, they held their first performance in five years at Nippon Budokan as the TOUR FINAL.
In 2022, the 10th anniversary of their debut, they will perform 22 shows across the country on the “MY FIRST STORY TOUR 2022”, and in 2023 they will tour all 47 prefectures and release digital content for 12 consecutive months.
In November, they performed a one-night-only concert with ONE OK ROCK for the first time at the Tokyo Dome, and declared that they would be returning for a solo concert.
