This song has been chosen as the theme song for the Nissan 90th anniversary commemorative movie “NISSAN LOVE STORY,” which was created to commemorate the 90th anniversary of the founding of Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. Nissan’s 90th anniversary commemorative movie, “NISSAN LOVE STORY,” was inspired by the love stories of Nissan owners that were collected in response to a call for “stories of love and Nissan” based on the message, “Cars can always bring two people closer together.”
Starring actors Gordon Maeda and Ai Mikami, the film is a grand love story spanning multiple eras.
The song “Melodrama” written specifically for this movie as the theme song is the long-awaited first collaboration between Natori and Imase, who have been friends for a long time.
The song has a nostalgic, retro-pop sound that makes you want to listen to it while driving, and it adds color to the movie, which expresses a sweet yet sad worldview.
