WEST. will celebrate their 10th anniversary since their debut in 2024. To celebrate their anniversary year, they have teamed up with WOWOW to broadcast and stream an original live show with a completely new concept, “WOWOW presents WEST. 10th Anniversary Live “W”” on October 26th at 7pm.
A total of 19 songs are scheduled to be performed, including representative songs from the past 10 years, songs that will be performed live for the first time, and full-length performances that are not usually seen.
In addition, WOWOW will be exclusively broadcasting and streaming a special program in November that will reveal the real faces of WEST., including behind-the-scenes footage from rehearsals to the performance, as well as interviews with each member. This is also something to check out.

On the anniversary of WEST., we were able to perform a live show in a new format, so it was a performance with a different feeling than usual. If you watch the video, you can feel the energy overflowing from our expressions and whole bodies. We usually look at the fans, but this time we felt like we were in a space with just the seven of us, so we sang without thinking about the camera. We’ve sung the second chorus of songs we haven’t performed in a while, so I think our fans who have been supporting us for a long time will be pleased, and I think that even first-time listeners will be able to fully appreciate the appeal of the songs. For some members, it was the first time they sang some songs, so they ended up loving songs they already loved listening to even more. This live performance had a strong feeling of being a video work. I wasn’t worried about the camera, and I was able to face the song in my own individual worldview. I felt like I was in a space where I couldn’t even see the other members, and I was feeling the song. It was a live performance that showed many different sides of us, so that when someone asks, “What kind of group is WEST.?” they can answer, “See this.”■Ryusei Fujii
The song selection and structure are completely different from our usual live shows. There are many emotional and mature songs, with the intention of it being viewed as a video work. Tan-san (the video director) carefully communicated with the members about the content they wanted to express in each scene. While there are the usual lively songs, you can also see a slightly more adult side of WEST.■Takahiro Hamada
Rather than showing it, I performed with the image that the camera happened to be taking a picture of me enjoying singing. This time, I was able to face the song, so I think my facial expressions were different. They were natural.

Anyway, the impression I got was that the lighting was beautiful. I got to see the switching on the day, and all the members were mesmerized by the beauty of the images. There were songs ranging from old favorites to the latest songs, and each block had a different worldview, so I think you can enjoy the whole concert.
