AWOLNATION has released their long-awaited full album, The Phantom Five. Regarding this new album, which consists of 10 songs, Aaron Bruno, aka AWOLNATION, said, “I wrote this album thinking that it might be my last album as AWOLNATION.” The album also includes the previously released singles “Panoramic View,” “Jump Sit Stand March” (feat. Emily Armstring), and “I Am Happy” (feat. Del the Funky Homosapien), and each song has its own music video.
Speaking about his single “Barbarian,” which just released a music video, he said:
“I read The Metamorphosis by Franz Kafka before writing this song. I like the concept of transforming from this Awolnation project into my new hardcore metal thrash project, like The Barbarians Of California. That’s the conflict in the song, inspired by the man who transforms into an insect.”

The new album “The Phantom Five” is made up of 10 songs that transpose all the desires and impulses that Bruno learned in AEWOLNATION into anthemic modern music. For listeners who have followed the trajectory of the band’s transformational nature, it can be called a “best album” that everyone can agree on. The theme is how to find happiness in strange times when the world has been turned upside down.
“I made this album with the intention that it might be the last AWOLNATION album,” says Bruno, “I wanted to challenge that idea and get inspired. I don’t know if it’s really the last album, but I wanted to push myself by creating that storyline and put everything I’ve got into these songs.”
“Panoramic View,” the lead single from The Phantom Five, has amassed over 1 million plays on YouTube and 11 million streams. The song recently reached #8 on the alternative radio charts and was added to rotation at Los Angeles rock station KROQ.

About Aaron Bruno (aka AWOLNATION):
Bruno is the de facto leader, songwriter, and creative nerve center of Los Angeles-based project AWOLNATION. He spent the better part of his 20s at the helm of a pop-based electronic and alternative rock band that has generated millions in record sales and streaming, chart-topping singles, and countless live shows for enthusiastic fans around the world.
