BE:FIRST’s RYUHEI and JUNON will appear on the cover and in the interview pages of the September 9th expanded issue of AERA (Asahi Shimbun Publications), which will be released on September 2nd.
BE:FIRST has just released their second album, “2:BE.” In this interview, they talk extensively about the group’s present and future.
Regarding their new album “2:BE,” they commented on the “further evolution” that is packed into the album, saying, “It’s an approach that I’ve never sung before” (JUNON), and “It’s filled with the desire to grow even more once again” (RYUHEI).
In July, the duo performed overseas for the first time, and said, “We have high expectations for what’s to come.” In December, they will begin their first four-dome tour, and are enthusiastic, saying, “We want to prove that even a dome tour is just the start,” and “We want to create a stage that only BE:FIRST can perform.”
The cover and gravure photos were of course taken by Mika Ninagawa. In the shoot, which took place against an artistic backdrop of neon, beds, and smoke, she was able to fully express herself.
