Details of the content of the “Light Entertainment Area” at the light festival “TOKYO LIGHTS 2024,” which will be held at the Meiji Jingu Gaien Shotoku Memorial Art Gallery and Meiji Jingu Gaien General Baseball Stadium Softball Stadium in Tokyo from September 14th to 16th, have been released.

■ “Light Entertainment Area” – a journey through a world of light
Under the direction of director Junma Hiroto, who has worked on numerous large-scale events both in Japan and overseas, Japan’s leading creators will come together in Tokyo to create a spectacular world of light filled with an extraordinary feeling, where five immersive live entertainment experiences can be experienced.

◇LIGHTWAVE PORTAL
The 25-metre-long Gate of Beginnings connects the real world and the world of light with an arch. Waves of light change from moment to moment in time with digital sound, leading visitors on a fantastical journey.

◇GALAXY SYMPHONY
A gigantic 50-meter-diameter coliseum decorated with 10,000 wirelessly controlled next-generation penlights, “FreFlow(R).” A new immersive installation will be held, where the light changes as if it were alive, synchronizing with the digital soundscape and a medley of songs including “Hana Ni Natte” by Ryokuoushoku Shakai, the opening theme of the TV anime “The Apothecary Diaries,” “Anytime Anywhere” by milet, the ending theme of the TV anime “Furiren’s Funeral,” and a medley of songs by Nijisanji, the group to which official ambassador “Ichiro Ayame ka Murasaki” belongs.

◇STAR DANCE
A spectacular low-altitude drone light show featuring approximately 300 drones equipped with LED lights and performers. Resonating with the beautiful melody played by the pianist, they paint a magnificent light painting on the canvas of the night sky.

◇ETERNITY MIRROR MONOLITH
This monolithic mirror, made of a 7-meter-tall giant mirror and LED vision, reflects the future. AI (artificial intelligence) imagines the future people should be heading towards, and projects an infinite number of parallel worlds.

◇AURORA GARDEN
The rest and dining area opens early at 4pm and offers a mystical view of flickering lights. A wide variety of food trucks will be on hand to provide drinks, food and sweets perfect for the hot summer, creating a special, relaxing space where you can take a break between events and enjoy a delicious meal.
