Nodamn, a grunge-gaze band led by HOME's shun, releases their first single "alarm"

Okinawa-based grunge-gaze band nodamn has released their first single, “alarm.”

Nodamn is a project centered around Shunta Higa (Vo. / Gt.), who is also known as a member of HOME, who appeared at FUJI ROCK FESTIVAL and SUMMER SONIC this year and attracted attention, and began activities in Okinawa in 2021. This year, the band will be formed by adding guitarist Rui Hanashiro and drummer Hayato Ameku.

Nodamn has released many songs on SoundCloud to date, but his first digital single, “alarm,” is a track that incorporates the dry and unstable feel of current US shoegaze into the context of Japanese guitar rock.

The band is also scheduled to hold their first live concert outside of Okinawa. They will be performing at FORESTLIMIT in Hatagaya, Tokyo on September 13th and at SUBMARINE in Kyoto on September 17th. Be sure to check them out.
