“M:ZINE” is a music program in which Mrs. GREEN APPLE guitarist Wakai Koto delves into artists that you should know about now.
Starting from the September 6th broadcast, THE BOYZ will appear as the featured artist for September, and Mrs. Wakai, Aiseki Start’s Yamazoe Hiroshi, and TV Asahi announcer Hayashi Mio will thoroughly explore the appeal of the Korean all-center boy band = THE BOYZ.

THE BOYZ appeared on stage after being introduced by DJ Wakai. Wakai and Yamazoe were immediately excited by the performance of their new song “Gibberish”, which was the opening act. It’s been almost seven years since their debut, and THE BOYZ are famous for the close friendship between the 11 members. This time, we will take a closer look at the friendship between the members, who also have a lot of family interaction.
First, Wakai asks THE BOYZ a question titled “Simple Questions Wakai is Curious About.” When asked “Do you think the members get along well with each other?”, everyone raised their hands! In response to the question “Do you fight?”, Kevin gave a frank answer, “We fight to build a healthy relationship.”
Mrs. GREEN APPLE are also known for their friendly relationship. Wakai shared an episode of their friendship that even surprised THE BOYZ, saying, “We’ve had birthday parties every year for the 11 years since we formed, and we even exchange presents at Christmas parties.”
There are still more stories about how close the members of THE BOYZ are. They reveal precious stories, such as when they went on vacation together to Okinawa and Los Angeles, or when they performed a celebratory song at a family member’s wedding, and Wakai and the others are impressed, saying, “That’s wonderful!”
The program also features a scene where the members perform songs they wrote and composed a cappella. This is a must-see episode that is full of the unknown charms of THE BOYZ.
