[GENERATIONS]The new 6-member group kicks off their first nationwide arena tour! Sachiko Kobayashi makes a surprise appearance!

GENERATIONS’ first arena tour with the new six-member lineup in about nine months will see them perform 12 shows in seven cities across the country.
GENERATIONS LIVE TOUR 2024 “GENERATIONS 2.0” kicked off on September 8th at Marine Messe Fukuoka A Hall.
This year, they announced that they would be reorganizing as GENERATIONS, and began their activities as a 6-member group on June 26th.
The first half of 2024 will see each member focus on solo activities, and this will be a time for each member to hone their sensibilities in order to further strengthen the group.

Meanwhile, about 12,000 DREAMERs (the collective name for their fans) had come from all over to see the six of them perform their first live show, eagerly awaiting their arrival.
As the lights went out and the opening video began to play, the excitement in the venue rose instantly as they saw GENERATIONS for the first time in a long while.

The first song of the live was “Evergreen,” which was released in May 2015 and is still talked about as a masterpiece among DREAMERS. When the silhouettes of the six members were projected along with the music, scream-like cheers echoed throughout the venue.

This version of “Evergreen” has been rearranged for this tour and titled “Evergreen 2.0,” a finish that symbolizes that their performance is as timeless as ever.
As everyone was captivated by the grandeur and depth of the “Evergreen 2.0,” the band formed a circle, a staple of their tours, as the song neared the end, and the crowd erupted in even louder cheers.

As the band played a series of uplifting songs, perfectly suited to opening the live show, the venue was suddenly plunged into darkness.
The song is “Minna no Uta,” the theme song for the film “Minna no Uta,” directed by Japanese horror master Shimizu Takashi and released last year.
A performance made up of video footage and performances that bring dancers into a strange world.
A mysterious atmosphere enveloped the venue, as if one had wandered into a movie.

As soon as the intro to Kazuhara Ryuto’s solo song “Pacific Love Memories” started playing, the atmosphere quickly changed to his own unique style, and he performed the song, whose lyrics were entirely in English, for the DREAMERs with his sweet singing voice.

As the live show reached the middle point, they performed their first song as a six-member group, “Cozy.”

Vocalist Kazuhara said, “Especially in these times and in this world, we put our heart into the song to express our desire to cherish the connections between people.”

The final song in the main program was “Endless Journey,” released in May as a support song for the Nippon Gymnastics Association.
This song was the driving force behind Japan’s men’s gymnastics team winning the gold medal at the Paris Olympics, but today, the DREAMERs, who packed the venue, gave a performance that seemed to give a boost to themselves and to the others.

The first encore song was “YMCA.” As the entire venue came together as usual, the song suddenly stopped and SP support member Kobayashi Sachiko herself appeared on the monitor with her name on it.
The sudden surprise was met with thunderous cheers.
“YMCA” performed Sachiko Kobayashi’s signature songs “Senbonzakura” and “Osanti Mighty Girl” together with GENERATIONS.

And in the final MC, Sano said,
“The scenery at this venue reminded me of when we did our first arena tour in 2016, and many memories came back to me. I think we got off to a good start today, and I hope you all come and see us again,” he said.
Next, Nakatsuka said,
“When I discovered dance and met the other members, I felt like I had become someone, and at that time everyone helped me.
We want to deliver dreams and do our best. We will continue to persevere. Please continue to support GENERATIONS,” he wrote, expressing his gratitude to the DREAMERs.

Afterwards, GENERATIONS once again brought the entire venue together as one, bringing the first day to a close amid thunderous cheers.

In an interview before the live performance, Komori said,
“(Becoming a six-person group) we’ve had to take a fresh look at ourselves, and I think this will be our new start.
“I’m 29 this year, the last year of my 20s, and will soon be in my 30s, entering a new phase of my life, so I’m filled with excitement and anticipation at the thought of making a new start with the group,” he said.
Vocalist Kazuhara said,
“The new system may have caused some anxiety and worry to those who support us, but we believe it has become an opportunity to further deepen our bonds.
I can proudly say that we’re in the best shape we’ve ever been, so in that sense, I hope we can express the new GENERATIONS while carrying everyone’s feelings with us.”
The DREAMERs who packed Marine Messe could clearly sense the feelings of the six members of GENERATIONS.
As proof of this, their performance was met with thunderous cheers from start to finish, and everyone was smiling throughout the concert.

It’s been 12 years since their debut. They faced many obstacles and obstacles. They overcame them and continued to grow together with DREAMERS, and that’s how they became who they are today. Their performances, in which they poured their souls into each song, certainly reached the hearts of DREAMERS. We can’t take our eyes off their performances in the future.
