The movie “Maru”, starring Tsuyoshi Domoto and directed and written by Naoko Ogigami, will be released on October 18th. New stills showing the personalities of the diverse characters have been released.
Sawada (Domoto Tsuyoshi) wasn’t the only one who gradually became obsessed with the circle.
The stills released this time show Sawada’s apartment neighbor, Yokoyama, an unsuccessful manga artist played by Ayano Go, Yajima, who works at the same workplace as Sawada played by Yoshioka Riho, Mo, a convenience store clerk played by Morisaki Win who works with Sawada after he injured his arm and started working part-time at a convenience store, Yoshimura, Sawada’s high school classmate played by Oideyasu Oda, the owner of the antique shop played by Katagiri Hairi, and the mysterious teacher who suddenly appears played by Emoto Akira, all of whom are revealed to be trapped by the circle.

The many circles on the mailbox behind him seem to be Yokoyama’s doing… Furthermore, Yajima is seen hanging a megaphone and making a circle with his hands, peering into it like binoculars. What is she trying to tell the people passing by? And who is she staring at? Mo, who has a serious and gentle personality and never stops smiling even when she is in a bad situation, conveys the teachings of “Fukutoku “En”man” to Sawada while making a circle with both hands, and the teacher holds up a slice of bread cut into a circle. Yoshimura also stands in front of Sawada with a selfish gaze, holding a circle, and the owner of the antique shop stares at the circle Sawada brings in.
