BAND-MAID is a globally popular girls band that will be appearing at “Lollapalooza” in the US in 2023 as the first Japanese band to do so in about 13 years since X JAPAN. To commemorate the release of their first album in three and a half years, “Epic Narratives,” they have decided to have a storefront distribution. In addition, they have announced that they will be streaming a limited edition of “Extra Edition Serving (Live) Medium in Summer” that was held on August 30th.
Tower Records will be running four in-store campaigns to celebrate the release of the new album on September 25th. Seven stores nationwide will feature a panel exhibition of photos of the band serving, two stores in Shibuya and Shinjuku will display instruments used by the band members, and the Abeno Hoop store will have a giant sign at the store entrance. In addition, all Tower Records stores will be giving out original receipts with messages from BAND-MAID to those who purchase the album. In addition, it has been decided that the platinum ticket “Special Edition Serving (Live) Medium in Summer” will be available for limited streaming from 6pm on September 13th. BAND-MAID’s standard setlist is a barrage of intense hard rock, but as this day was billed as a “special edition”, there were plenty of special features that were unique to this day, including rare songs that they haven’t performed in several years, as well as a section where they played five medium-tempo songs in a row, such as “Memorable” and “endless Story”, and a performance of “Big Dad” from their first album, sung by Miku Kobato (Vo.Gt.) on acoustic guitar. Furthermore, BAND-MAID’s individual activities are also becoming more active, and it has been decided that SAIKI (Vo.) will be participating as a guest vocalist in the opening theme song “Tactics” for the TV anime “I am the Most Evil Support Job[Talker]and Command the World’s Strongest Clan,” which will begin airing on October 7th. ~The world-famous all-girl band “BAND-MAID” has toured the US to an audience of over 20,000~
Their hard rock sound, which is in stark contrast to their maid appearance, has won support from fans and media around the world, with a total of over 200 million views on YouTube. Reaction videos from fans around the world are also being released one after another on YouTube, with over 40 million views. They are also supported by rock and metal fans, and are now the most popular girl band overseas, with over 20,000 people attending their 2022 US tour.
