On September 14th, LE SSERAFIM appeared on the popular Korean music program MBC’s “Show! Music Core” and completed their promotions for their 4th mini album “CRAZY.”
On this day, LE SSERAFIM captivated fans by performing their title song “CRAZY” in sophisticated black suits.
Although their activities on music shows have ended, LE SSERAFIM is scheduled to perform “CRAZY” on various stages, including at university festivals in Korea.
LE SSERAFIM will perform at the university festival stages at Sogang University on September 27th and Gwangju University on September 30th. On October 1st and 2nd, they will take part in the university festivals at Hoseo University Asan Campus and Dongmyung University, where they will present energetic performances.
LE SSERAFIM’s 4th mini album ‘CRAZY’ released on August 30th has surpassed their previous 3rd mini album ‘EASY’, and their popularity has skyrocketed in the US, the center of the global music market. The title song ‘CRAZY’ has charted in the latest (as of September 14th) main album chart ‘Billboard 200’ (7th place) and main song chart ‘Hot 100’ (76th place) of the US Billboard.
They attracted attention by recording the highest ranking of the year among K-pop girl groups in the “Hot 100” and becoming the first group to have two consecutive releases chart in. LE SSERAFIM showed their steady growth by climbing the ranks to 99th place with “EASY” and 76th place with “CRAZY”.
“CRAZY” also set a new personal best on the UK Official Singles Chart, which is considered the world’s second biggest pop chart along with the US Billboard.
Following its debut at No. 83 on the UK Official Singles Chart last week, “CRAZY” has now charted at No. 100 in the latest chart released on September 13th, making it the second consecutive week that the song has stayed on the chart.
LE SSERAFIM’s rapidly growing popularity has also attracted attention in the trend-sensitive American broadcasting industry, with the brand receiving a flurry of love calls from major programs and award ceremonies.
On September 11th local time, LE SSERAFIM performed a solo stage at the pre-show of the 2024 MTV Video Music Awards, one of the four major popular music awards ceremonies in the United States.
The five members won the “PUSH Performance of the Year” award at the ceremony, leaving a strong impression on local music fans. Among the many prestigious artists nominated, such as Chappell Roan who won “Best New Artist” and Benson Boone who won “Best Alternative”, LE SSERAFIM’s win attracted a lot of attention.
