[Kumi Koda]The final of her 25th anniversary best single tour “KODA KUMI LIVE TOUR 2024 ~BEST SINGLE KNIGHT~” will be held in Oita.

This marks the 24th year since Koda Kumi’s debut.
The final performance of the best single nationwide tour “KODA KUMI LIVE TOUR 2024 ~BEST SINGLE KNIGHT~”, which attracted 45,000 people nationwide, was held in Oita.

With her 25th anniversary just around the corner, Koda Kumi’s 24th tour is a “journey to bring Koda Kumi to every corner of the country,” with tour content focused on visiting every prefecture and showcasing Koda Kumi’s musical history in an entertaining style.
The “KNIGHT” in the title “BEST SINGLE KNIGHT” has a triple meaning: “KodaKumi = K’s night,” “KNIGHT = knight (the Joan of Arc of the female artist world. The bravery of Koda Kumi who continues to challenge herself),” and “K = 1000, representing a thousand nights (chiyo = long years), in other words, to be here now after 24 long years.”

This time, the story is a sequel to the live tour “KODA KUMI LIVE TOUR 2023 ~angeL&monsteR (pronounced: Angel and Monster)” held last year.In the previous work, the tour was based on the theme of “Why did an angel become a monster?”, but this time it is composed of images, music and performances that show how “a monster is sublimated into a unicorn.”
Although unicorns are fictional creatures, the tour expresses the importance of believing by having each member imagine their own unicorn in the midst of their own worries and struggles.
This was also the first “Best Single Tour” in a long time, allowing fans to enjoy everything from the old hits that everyone is familiar with to the latest songs.

The performance began with the opening song “UNICORN -Introduction-“, and the loud cheers of the fans who had been waiting for this day echoed through the venue, marking the start of the performance.
They performed old hits such as “Cutie Honey” and “Crazy 4 U” along with some intense dancing.
For the following ballads, she performed “Suki de, Suki de, Suki de,” “Silence,” which was released this year, and her signature song “Ai no Uta,” which she sang in a soft, live arrangement, captivating the fans in the venue.

In her final MC performance, she said, “I feel truly blessed to have had the opportunity to meet so many people from all over the country, and to have so many people come to see me. Ever since my debut, I have wanted to make music that would give people a push, so I want my music to be someone that can give people a push, and I want people to believe that I will always be by their side. I have been singing with that feeling in mind, and it’s soon been 25 years. The reason I have been able to sing for so long is because there are all of you who love me. It is all thanks to you all that I have been able to walk to this day. I hope you will listen to this song with love.” She delivered this message to her fans, and then she sang a powerful version of “walk”, bringing the performance to a close.

In addition, a playlist of the setlists for this tour is also available on each DSP, so be sure to check it out.
