Three theme songs for "BMSG FES'24" by SKY-HI, Novel Core, and Aile The Shota will be released simultaneously

It has been revealed that three theme songs for “BMSG FES’24” will be released simultaneously on September 18th, the fourth anniversary of BMSG’s founding.

The theme song is produced every year to coincide with the BMSG FES. In 2024, SKY-HI, Novel Core, and Aile The Shota will be the producers, and 23 artists from the label will collaborate to form three teams to produce the song. BMSG SKY, led by SKY-HI; BMSG GAIA, led by Novel Core; and BMSG MARINE, led by Aile The Shota, will simultaneously release three songs that showcase their respective sensibilities on September 18th.

The music videos will be premiered on the official BMSG YouTube channel from 7pm on the same day. The music videos were filmed at the new BMSG office, with each floor designed to match the theme of each song. A teaser video has been released ahead of the release, so be sure to check it out.

◇BMSG SKY “Swan’s War”
(prod. SKY-HI, Ryosuke “Dr.R” Sakai)
MEMBERS: SKY-HI, MANATO, RYUHEI, NAOYA, SEITO, RYUKI, REIKO, RUI
SKY-HI, producer of BMSG SKY, produced this song together with Ryosuke “Dr.R” Sakai, producer who has worked on songs for three consecutive years, including the theme songs for BMSG FES’22 “New Chapter”, BMSG FES’23 “The Sun from the EAST” and “The Moon in the WEST”. SKY-HI, who has roots in various music, mainly HipHop, and Ryosuke “Dr.R” Sakai, producer who is active both domestically and internationally, created this song with an uplifting beat that makes you feel like a page of a story is about to open, and the aesthetics and strength of “dreaming so undeserving that people laugh at you” are sung in a microphone relay format by eight people. This song is the true essence of BMSG, who fights in a dirty but vivid manner like the ugly duckling.

◇BMSG GAIA “Glitch”

The album was produced by BMSG GAIA producer Novel Core, who has worked with a variety of artists, major and underground, including Awich and kZm from YENTOWN, SKY-HI, BE:FIRST, SALU, MIYAVI, and Chaki Zulu, a top producer who works on crossover works in all genres. Novel Core, who has roots in HipHop and Rock, and Chaki Zulu’s collaboration created a large-scale mixture of beats, and the unshakable “attitude” and “mind” that underpins the eight of them are fully displayed, making this an aggressive song that re-presents “Be myself”.

◇BMSG MARINE “Memoria”
(prod. Aile The Shota, MONJOE, LOAR, Hiromu)

The song was produced by BMSG MARINE producer Aile The Shota and MONJOE, LOAR, and Hiromu, members of the Tokyo-based music creator group “INIMI”, who have worked on a wide range of songs including songs by BMSG MARINE producers Aile The Shota and BMSG artists, Number_i, and Taichi Mukai. The song is a gem of a song, with a high-sense and melodic beat created by the collaboration between Aile The Shota, who has roots in R&B, and INIMI, and emotional lyrics that depict the process of accepting and affirming all the past separations and pain that lie dormant in memory.

The three leaders decided the teams this time by pure luck using playing cards to select three teams of 8, 8, and 7. The team selection process can be viewed on video on BMSG’s new fan community app “B with U” and online salon “B-Town.”

BMSG GAIA was a team where the individual members had incredible power, so it was all about figuring out how to maximize each parameter.
Being true to myself, with roots in hip hop and rock, I based the song on a mixture of tracks, and scattered the best moments while drawing on the members’ past stories and connections through the song divisions.
If you’re a fan of BMSG artists, there are sure to be plenty of parts that will make you smile (laughs).
