■The first Japanese idol group to perform on the main stage, “Harbourflap Stage”!
Sakurazaka46 has been confirmed to appear at Hong Kong’s largest music festival, Clockenflap Music & Art Festival 2024, which will be held from November 29th to December 1st.
This will be Sakurazaka46’s first appearance at an event in Hong Kong. It will also be the first time for a Japanese idol group to perform on the main stage, the “Harbourflap Stage,” showing how high expectations are for Sakurazaka46.
Sakurazaka46 has been actively promoting themselves to overseas audiences since 2023, taking on the challenge of overseas events and selling tickets for their live shows overseas and streaming them. Details such as performance times will be announced at a later date.
The year 2024 saw the group engage in a wide range of intense activities, including their 8th single “How Old Do You Want to Go Back to?”, with 2nd generation member Yamazaki Ten (the official spelling of “崎” is “tatsusaki”) in the center, a spring arena tour with cherry blossoms falling all around, a two-day performance at Tokyo Dome that drew a sold-out crowd of 110,000 people, their 9th single “Jigoku Jitoku” with 3rd generation member Yamashita Hitomi in the center, and appearances at summer festivals and events.
Fans’ excitement is only growing with the announcement that they will be appearing at their first event in Korea, WONDERLIVET 2024, and the release of their 10th single, “I want tomorrow to come.”
