GLAY starts pre-release distribution of “BRIGHTEN UP” from their 17th album!

GLAY will celebrate their 30th anniversary since their debut in 2024 and will release their 17th album “Back To The Pops” on October 9th. Ahead of the release, the track “BRIGHTEN UP” was released online on September 18th.

The chorus of this song was completed in the 90s, so it’s a song that gives you a sense of GLAY’s 30-year journey, and it will give you an early taste of this album, which can be called “GLAY’s 30th debut album.”

The album “Back To The Pops” is like a “30th year debut album.”

I think that when an artist makes their debut album, they put a lot of thought into it, including songs they’ve performed live up to that point, or songs they’re confident in.

There is still a lot of innocence there, and I think the connection between myself and society is still weak, and when I say society I mean school or something within a few meters of myself, not something across the ocean.

I think what is expressed there is one’s own perspective on society, despite being young.

That was the kind of album I was aiming to create this time.

BRIGHTEN UP includes the English chorus, “For 30 years we’ve been looking for little things little things,” which means “we’ve been looking for little things for 30 years.”

We’ve always been looking for small things, and we always will.
