Akko Gorilla has announced that she will be releasing her first full album in five years, “Chimera.” The title track “Chimera” was released today, September 18th (Wednesday).
This album is a conceptual piece with the theme of “chimera/festival”. In addition to Zhuangzi it (Dos Monos), Food Festival akafoodman, and BSC (ex. KANDYTOWN), London-based producer Roska, who is also known as a leading figure in UK funky, will be participating. A total of 18 songs will be included, packed with a variety of themes and sounds.
The title song “Chimera” features the aforementioned Food Festival akafoodman as a guest. It is the theme song of the album, and is a work that will further increase expectations for the release. The music video will premiere on Thursday, September 19th at 9:00 PM.
In addition, CD sales will begin exclusively at the live event “SONAR MUSIC LIVE” to be held at Tokyo Kinema Club on Friday, September 27th. This will be a rare opportunity to get your hands on the album early.

Just like different species of creatures mixed together in one individual, we live with emotions and genders that cannot be resolved into dualisms such as justice/evil, angel/devil, etc., all of which remain unresolved in our minds.
I made this with the feeling that I wanted to make a roaring sound of all the emotions that have sometimes been controlled by our own intentions, sometimes gone with the flow even though we know it, and sometimes tidied up according to convenience, and yet in reality have slipped into the gaps between 0 and 1, never quite tidy.
“Chimera” is a concept album that explores the depths of the soul, set against the backdrop of a festival.
This is their first full album in five years, with a total of 18 songs!
