LUNA SEA and GLAY to perform together for the first time in 25 years! "A new page in history"

■’The Millennium Eve 2025 LUNA SEA | GLAY’ will be held at Tokyo Dome on February 22, 2025!

It has been revealed that LUNA SEA and GLAY will perform together at the Tokyo Dome.

LUNA SEA, which celebrated its 35th anniversary in 2024, is currently on the road to the “ERA TO ERA” tour, which will see them travelling around the country with 41 shows, reviving tour menus from various eras in the past. The final chapter of this tour will be their Tokyo Dome performance “LUNATIC TOKYO 2025” on February 23, 2025, which will be their first performance in about 14 years.

However, there was another surprise in store for this re-enactment tour. It was announced that on February 22, 2025, the night before the grand finale, “LUNATIC TOKYO 2025,” they would once again perform with their former ally GLAY at the Tokyo Dome, after 25 years in the making.

At 6pm on September 17th, a meaningful teaser video was released on the official SNS accounts of both LUNA SEA and GLAY, and the joyous moment arrived the following day, at 6pm on the night of the full moon on September 18th.

The title of the performance is “The Millennium Eve 2025.”

About 25 years ago, on December 23, 1999, the two giants who swept the Japanese rock scene met at the Tokyo Dome for the legendary joint band event “The Millennium Eve.” In fact, no video or audio remains of this legendary joint band event, and it became a live performance that was passed down as a truly phantom night, known only to those who had a premium ticket to the event. In February 2025, there will be a chance to witness this legendary joint band event again.

LUNA SEA GLAY “The Millennium Eve” was 25 years ago!!! Back then, I never thought we’d perform together again, but I think the reason we’re able to stand on the Tokyo Dome stage with our beloved older brothers who always watched over us is because we’ve continued to face music and fight together, so I hope everyone will witness this moment! I’d also like to do a session that only these two bands can do!

LUNA SEA is celebrating its 35th anniversary this year and has embarked on a nationwide tour called “ERA TO ERA,” the ultimate time leap that travels between their own future and past.
As an important page in that journey, all five of us shared a desire to recreate the joint concert event we held with our great friends GLAY at the Tokyo Dome 25 years ago.
