Timelesz’s new single “Because” will be released on November 20th. The song will also be the theme song for the TV Asahi drama “Watashitachi wa Koi suru Riyuu” starring Fuma Kikuchi, which will start airing on October 12th.
The drama “The Reason We Fall in Love” is based on the popular manga of the same name by ma2, which won the grand prize in the adult romance category at the 2nd “Everyone’s Favorite Romance Manga Awards” and has exceeded 30 million views on online bookstores. Six men and women, including the “silent boss” Kurosawa Tomoya played by Kikuchi Fuma and the heroine’s “serious subordinate” Morita Aoi (Kumada Rinka), play a frustrating yet sweet “adult pure love” in the office.
“Because” is a song that sympathizes with the feelings of the characters in the drama who are timid about taking a step towards a new love. The lyrics are filled with gratitude and feelings towards fans and those who support them, and the song is delivered with a sad but gentle melody.
This song was created by all the members sharing their ideas. After discussing it together, Fuma Kikuchi wrote the lyrics, So Matsushima came up with the choreography, and Shori Sato was involved in the music video production. This is the first and last single with the three-member lineup, and they put more effort into it than ever before.
The single “because”, the first single under the name timelesz and the 27th overall, will be available in 4 formats: First Limited Edition A, First Limited Edition B, Regular Edition, and UNIVERSAL MUSIC STORE Limited Edition. In addition to songs common to all versions, the B-sides will include songs specific to each version. The bonus footage will include music videos and making-ofs, as well as music videos of each member’s solo version and the usual variety shows.
The UNIVERSAL MUSIC STORE limited edition will be in LP size, following the previous work “puzzle”. The bonus video will include a live digest video of the first performance of the first national tour under the name timelesz, which was completed in August 2024.
Those who preorder all three versions at the same time will receive three special benefits. Details will be announced at a later date.

The scenery seen from Kurosawa’s perspective and what he was feeling at the time were conveyed so directly, and it was a delightful experience to be able to learn about it.
I am in awe of the high level of detail achieved by Kikuchi-san, who wrote the lyrics, and I am grateful that she has been able to color each of the love stories in WataKoi so beautifully.
