The opportunity for her to appear in this web commercial came as part of the “GU MANIA LEADER AUDITION,” a popular information variety show currently being broadcast on Abema that ran for about two months. The audition was to select one leader for GU’s official fan community, “GU MANIA,” from among 12 finalists.
Kanaya won the fierce competition at the audition and was selected as the leader. She plans to spread the word about the appeal of the products and the fun of fashion.
Kanaya debuted in 2020 as a member of the seven-member dance and vocal group GENIC. With their charming smile and outstanding dance skills, they gained popularity and held their fifth national tour, “GENIC LIVE TOUR 2024 N_G,” to promote their third album, “N_G,” released in spring 2024, attracting approximately 10,000 people.
