Ikimonogakari’s new song “Dramatic Come On” has been chosen as the theme song for the drama “Little Women – Sisters in Love and Me Who Doesn’t Fall in Love”

■ “May each and every person experience something wonderful and dramatic that is unique to them.” (Ikimonogakari)

Ikimonogakari’s new song “Dramatic Come On” has been chosen as the theme song for the new Sunday drama “Little Women – Sisters in Love and Me Who Doesn’t Love” which will air on Nippon Television in October.

The drama is based on the enduring best-selling novel “Little Women” by American author Louisa May Alcott. Based on the idea of ”what if those four sisters were alive in Reiwa Japan…”, it is a socially conscious sisterhood comedy that is boldly set in the present day.

The four Machida sisters who are at the center of the story will be played by Mayu Hotta (second daughter), Sawa Nimura (eldest daughter), Megumi Hata (fourth daughter), and Neru Nagahama (third daughter), who will be starring in a NTV drama for the first time.

Ikimonogakari wrote a new song for the drama, “Dramatic Come On.” The lyrics and music were written by Yoshiki Mizuno, and the arrangement was by Hiroaki Yokoyama. The song combines the worldview of the drama with the melody and exhilarating feeling of the two Ikimonogakari members.

“Dramatic Come On” will be released on the first broadcast on October 6th. The release date will be announced at a later date.

■ Comment from Mayu Hotta
Ikimonogakari’s music has been an important part of me since I was a student, so when I heard that they would be providing music for the drama, I felt very happy.
At the same time, I was looking forward to it, letting my imagination run wild as I wondered what kind of song it would be. The lyrics overlap with the characters who live life to the fullest, and I feel a positive energy from the strength of their affirmation that no matter what appearance they have, they are still me.
The light-hearted melody that you’ll find yourself humming before you know it expands the worldview of the work even further, and it looks like it will be possible to deliver a dramatic story to everyone ♡

■ Comment from Ikimonogakari
In a world full of stories, how can we write our own story, which should be the most important thing? It’s not an easy answer. Where should we start? How should we face the headwinds? I think there are many people watching TV who see themselves in the struggles of the protagonist in this story and cheer him on. I hope that everyone has a wonderful, dramatic experience that is unique to them.
