“Mrs. GREEN APPLE // The White Lounge in CINEMA,” a film adaptation of Mrs. GREEN APPLE’s live tour “Mrs. GREEN APPLE 2023-2024 FC TOUR “The White Lounge,” which ran from December 2024 to March 2024, is currently a huge hit.
To celebrate their success, on September 22nd, Mrs. members Omori Motoki (Vo./Gu.), Wakai Koto (Gu.), and Fujisawa Suzuka (Key.) took to the stage at Marunouchi Piccadilly 1 in Tokyo to give a speech in commemoration of the hit film.
The event was broadcast live in theaters across the country, from Hokkaido to Okinawa, and the three spoke at length to the packed audiences and theatergoers across the country about what went on behind the scenes of the film and their current thoughts.
The venue was also filled with excitement when it was announced as a surprise that the original soundtrack for “Mrs. GREEN APPLE // The White Lounge in CINEMA,” “The White Lounge in CINEMA – Original Soundtrack –,” would be released digitally on September 23rd.
There is also news that it will be released as a soundtrack, allowing viewers to fully enjoy all 16 songs that could only be heard in the film.

The film was released on September 13th, and over the three-day weekend it grossed approximately 494 million yen, attracting an audience of over 140,000 people, so the day was turned into an encore stage greeting, or rather a stage greeting to thank fans for the film’s success.

In response, Omori said, “The theme of ‘The White Lounge’ is to relive the songs,” and commented on the highlights of the soundtrack, saying, “For example, the song ‘Dance Hall’ is cheerful and pop, but it also has a sad part, so we expanded on that and rearranged it.”
Wakai also spoke of how he added depth to each song, saying, “Of course, the arrangements are different, but I changed the touch and made some of the songs more jazzy.” He emphasized that the soundtrack was carefully crafted to match the story and the songs.

When the MC announced that the film was a massive hit, on the verge of grossing 1 billion yen at the box office, Omori said, “It’s unbelievable! It’s a unique production, a movie based on a live tour with a story behind it, so I was excited to see how it would be received, so I’m honored!” Wakai responded with, “We’re happy that people love it!” and Fujisawa also unanimously commented, “We make things that we get excited about, so we’re happy that it’s reaching everyone,” and the audience erupted in cheers of applause.
Since “Phase 2,” they have expanded the field in which they are active more than ever before, constantly taking on new challenges, including a live musical tour, a film screening, and recently being appointed Japan ambassadors for fashion brand Tommy Hilfiger.
