Inagaki, Kusanagi, and Katori talk about the 7th anniversary of Atarashii Chizu, "It's hard to put into words," "I was a little disheartened"

“Nanani Underground Abema” is a regular Abema program featuring Inagaki Goro, Kusanagi Tsuyoshi (the official spelling of “nagi” is the old-style character for “bow” with the character for “front” and “sword”), and Katori Shingo.

Episode 43 aired on September 22nd at 8pm.

In episode 43, titled “Nanani Underground Abema’s Buzzworthy Masterpiece Selection,” they will update the episodes that caused a stir among the public after the program was renewed in November 2023, aiming to create a buzz again.

Furthermore, during the program, Inagaki, Kusanagi, and Katori revealed their thoughts on the 7th anniversary of Atarashii Chizu.

As various topics were discussed, Inagaki, who was watching the video, spoke up, saying, “Can I tell you something that’s been bothering me?” Inagaki suddenly revealed that he had met Yamamoto, a senior at Horikoshi High School, in the “Where are they now!?” segment that aired in episode 9, and that although he had received his business card and asked to exchange LINE IDs, he had “not contacted” Yamamoto.

When asked the reason for this, he said, “I lost the opportunity…” and asked Kusanagi and Katori for advice, “What should we do?”

Katori then said, “Keep it in your heart,” and “Say something to the camera.” Inagaki immediately said to the camera, “Yamamoto-kun, please come and visit us again,” “Even if I send you a LINE now, don’t think that I’ve contacted you because of this,” and “I’ll send you a LINE.”

Katori, who was watching this, commented, “That’s fine…he’s not going to use LINE anyway.”

At the end of the program, Inagaki, Kusanagi, and Katori candidly talked about their current thoughts on the seventh anniversary of Atarashii Chizu on September 22. Kusanagi said, “It’s hard to put into words, a lot of things have happened,” but then he said, “I’m getting sleepy after eating the dry tantan noodles,” in a typical “characteristic” way, to which Katori chimed in with, “Seven years! (Talk about that).”

Inagaki expressed his gratitude to Nanani, saying, “They provide us with things that make our hearts flutter,” but then he went on to talk about Yamamoto, his senior at Horikoshi High School, saying, “I’ve been thinking about Yamamoto-kun all this time.”

Katori couldn’t help but chime in, “That’s seven years!”

Katori then revealed that when the new map first began to unfold, he “had no power and didn’t know where to go,” and “was a bit of a loser.”

Looking back on that time, Inagaki said, “72 Hours Honest TV (broadcast in November 2017) may have been the moment that sparked our enthusiasm,” but he added, “We definitely couldn’t do that now,” drawing laughter from the audience.

To commemorate approximately one year since the program’s renewal, episode 43 of “Nanani Underground ABEMA,” which looks back on the program’s many milestones, is currently streaming on ABEMA.

There will be no broadcast on September 29th next week, but the 44th episode of “Nanani Chika ABEMA” will air on October 6th at 8pm, titled “Vintage collectors reveal their extremely rare items! Serious appraisal of Nanani members’ personal belongings SP”, in which three vintage collectors will reveal their extremely rare items such as T-shirts, Ghibli goods, cameras, etc.

Furthermore, one of the most famous vintage collectors in the entertainment industry, Wild Bomb Kukkie, will be showing off his prized possessions in the studio.
