Former AKB48 member Nana Okada will release her long-awaited new album “Contrust” on Wednesday, November 27th!

Former AKB48 member Nana Okada announced on her official website that she will release her second album, “Contrust,” on Wednesday, November 27, 2024.

He released his solo debut album “Asymmetry” on Tuesday, November 7, 2023, which ranked 9th on the Oricon weekly album rankings. This is his long-awaited new album release in about a year.

In contrast to “Asymmetry,” which candidly expressed his dual nature, the title of this work is “Contrast,” which refers to the contrast between light and dark.
The stronger the light, the darker the shadows that fall. This album is about accepting the weak shadows that are the shadows and moving forward toward the light.
The word “Contrust” is a combination of “Con (=together)” and “trust (=to believe).”
Nana Okada herself wrote the lyrics for all 11 songs.

It will be released in three versions: with a photo book, with a Blu-ray, and with just the CD. The Blu-ray will include the music video for the lead song and a live performance from the studio.

In addition, to commemorate the release of the album, a pre-order bonus event, a premium advance listening event, and an online bonus event will be held.

“Contrust” is a work of contrast, with both light and dark areas. It is a combination of “Con”, which means “together” or “together” in Italian, and “trust”, which means “to believe”, so I chose this title with various meanings in mind.
I chose 11 songs from the album “Contrust” by considering which ones to include, and as with my previous album, I wrote the lyrics for all of them.
In my previous album “Asymmetry,” I showed a lot of the dark side of me that I hadn’t shown until now, so with this album I made it with the feeling of taking another step forward and looking forward!
