Snow Man’s Watanabe Shota and SixTONES’ Morimoto Shintaro make passionate comments about the stage play “DREAM BOYS” at “CHEER Vol.50”

Snow Man’s Watanabe Shota and SixTONES’ Morimoto Shintaro will appear on the cover and in the lead feature of the magazine “CHEER Vol. 50” (on sale October 1st).

Watanabe and Morimoto, who have teamed up for the second year running for the final stage production of “DREAM BOYS” at the current Imperial Theater, appeared in chic all-black outfits. They spoke of their passion for “DREAM BOYS,” which has been passed down through various casts and is celebrating its 20th anniversary.

“You can feel everything about entertainment in ‘Dream Boys,’ so I think that’s why it can captivate viewers,” said Morimoto. Watanabe also commented, “The story and development are easy to understand, it’s a good mix of reality and fantasy, and the performances are also flashy. The balance of all these things is exquisite, so I thought it was a one-of-a-kind work.”

Regarding his subsequent appearance in 2023, Morimoto revealed, “Shoppy persuaded me over the phone,” and added, “I had fun sharing a fulfilling time with Shoppy last year. This time, if it hadn’t been Shoppy, I don’t think I would have accepted.”

Meanwhile, Watanabe, who immediately decided to take part in the 2024 audition as well, said, “The main reason I immediately said I’d do it again this year is because of Shintaro. It was a negotiation.” The bond between the two was apparent in his answer.
