Nogizaka46 member Kubo Shiori is the host of the radio program “Nogizaka46 no All Night Nippon” (every Wednesday from 1:00 am to 3:00 am) and the program event “Nogizaka46 no All Night Nippon presents Kubo Shiori’s Youth Culture Festival in Yokohama Arena” has been decided to be held at Yokohama Arena on January 25, 2025. The announcement was made to Kubo Shiori herself as a surprise during the program’s live broadcast on September 25.
Kubo Shiori joined Nogizaka46 as a third-generation member in 2016. Since February 2022, she has been a personality on All Night Nippon, captivating many listeners with her wide-ranging talks on topics including her hometown of Tohoku, baseball, music, and theater.
The theme of the first program event is “youth” as the title suggests. Since she started her activities as a member of Nogizaka46 in her third year of junior high school and did not have much experience of “youth” in school life,

Based on this statement, the film was titled “Kubo Shiori’s Youth Cultural Festival” and the concept was based on a school cultural festival.
On the day, in keeping with the concept of a school festival, Kubo and guests with a connection to the program will be featured as members of each club.

Sandwichman, who are close friends with Kubo as they are from the same hometown of Miyagi Prefecture in Tohoku, will be helping to liven up the event together with Kubo.

MONKEY MAJIK is a four-member rock band from Miyagi Prefecture, where Kubo is from. Since Kubo first became a personality, “Rainbow Fish” has been used as the ending song, and in June 2024, band members Maynard and TAX were invited as guests to broadcast live from Sendai. wacci is a five-member band that Kubo lists as his “favorite artist.” He will finally perform with wacci, whose songs have been frequently aired on the show. It will be interesting to see what kind of performance the two respected bands will put on as a light music club, and what kind of project they will develop with Kubo.

A special project exclusive to this event has been decided in collaboration with the theater company “Europe Kikaku” led by Ueda Makoto. Kubo and Europe Kikaku first co-starred in the stage play “The Night is Short, Walk on Girl” in 2021. Since then, Kubo has appeared in several video works by Europe Kikaku, and in the movie “River, Don’t Run Away” in 2023, and has become a close friend. In addition, it has been decided that Arata Furuta, a senior in the entertainment industry who co-starred with Kubo in Gekidan Shinkansen’s “Tengousei”, will also appear. In front of a large audience, attention will also be focused on the script that Ueda Makoto will write for this day.

In addition to this, there are many other plans to liven up the “Youth Cultural Festival.” It is sure to be an event not to be missed, filled with all the entertainment that Kubo has talked about on the weekly broadcast, from comedy and music to theater, and overflowing with the fleeting, yet fun, “youth.”
The key visual for the event has also been released. It is a collage of photos of Kubo showing various expressions as a student, creating a visual that gives the impression of a handmade school festival. The earliest tickets for the event (lottery) are also available (until 23:59 on October 3rd).
