Kroi writes new song “Jewel” as theme song for Tuesday 9 drama “Okura”

Kroi’s new song “Jewel” will be used as the theme song for the new Tuesday drama “Okura – Labyrinth Case Investigation” which will be broadcast on Fuji TV from October 8th (Tuesday).

“Okura ~ Labyrinth Case Investigation ~” is about the friendship between Hidaka Senju (Takashi Sorimachi), a Showa detective full of humanity, and Fuwa Toshiki (Fuwa Toshiki / Sugino Harukasuke), a cool Reiwa detective. A human mystery entertainment that takes on a case that is practically “shut down” on the verge of entering a labyrinth. Along with this announcement, a 30-second trailer was also released.

This will be Kroi’s first time singing the theme song for a Fuji TV series and also for a GP series. The new song “Jewel” was written specifically for the drama, and Kroi incorporated the content, atmosphere, and interactions between the characters into the song. The lyrics, “I wish the clouds in front of my eyes would clear up just a little bit more,” seem to empathize with those involved in the case, including the victim’s family, who have suffered for many years as the case remained unresolved, and it becomes a song that further colors the work. It is said to have been completed.

My name is Kroi and I will be in charge of the theme song for the new Tuesday drama “Okura”.

We read the script and created a song called “Jewel” by combining the similarities between this work and our ideas. This song was born with the idea of expressing the mysterious atmosphere of the unsolved case of “Okura” and the charm of the characters through a folky sound. In addition, he is attempting a ballad, which is rare among Kroi’s songs.

Lately, I have often felt strongly the importance of communication between people, and the theme of this song is to depict such interactions between people like jewels.
