Skapara Yanaka appears for the first time on NHK’s “Cheers to the Tsurube Family”! Take on your first “real trip” in Itoigawa City, Niigata Prefecture!

Tokyo Ska Paradise Orchestra’s Atsushi Yanaka (Baritone sax) will appear on NHK General TV’s “Cheers to the Tsurube Family,” which will be broadcast for two weeks on September 30th (Monday) and October 7th (Monday).
“A Toast to Tsurube’s Family” is a travel program in which Shofutei Tsurube travels around Japan with guests in search of a wonderful family, and is performed without any preparation.
This time we will visit Itoigawa City, Niigata Prefecture. When our guest, Yanaka, visited Itoigawa on a Skapara tour in April 2022, he had a very good impression of it, but didn’t have time to take a leisurely tour of the city, so he decided to visit again with Tsurube.
Furthermore, since Yanaka loves conch and other shellfish, he is also aiming to eat delicious shellfish in Itoigawa.
Yanaka admires Tsurube so much that he once said, “I’ve always felt a love for humanity from Tsurube-san. If Tsurube-san had a cram school, I’d like to attend it.” We look forward to seeing if Yanaka himself will have to obtain interview permission for his “actual trip” with Tsurube in Itoigawa, whether it will be a wonderful trip or an unusual journey.
