From the movie “Maru” starring Tsuyoshi Domoto, a scene photo featuring the unsuccessful manga artist played by Go Ayano has been released.

New scene photos have been released from the movie “Maru” (released on October 18th) starring Tsuyoshi Domoto.

Domoto plays Sawada, a man who graduated from an art college but cannot make a living in art and works as an assistant to a popular contemporary artist. There is no sign of being independent, and I have lost even the will to do so, and I have become accustomed to doing what I am told every day.

One day, Sawada gets into an accident on his way to work and loses his job due to an injured arm. When I returned to my room, there was an ant on the floor. Starting with the circle he drew as if being guided by the ant, his daily life began to be eroded by the circle.

Up until now, Domoto has played many roles in which he has driven the story himself, but this is his first solo lead role in 27 years, and he breaks new ground with a character who gets caught up in mysterious situations.

The scene photo that was released this time features Yokoyama, a struggling manga artist who is next door to Sawada’s apartment, played by Tsuyoshi Ayano. Yokoyama is seen sitting on the roadside staring somewhere at a loss, holding an “O” in his hand and looking at each other with Sawada, and even holding a red umbrella with an inappropriate smile on his face. Yokoyama shows a variety of expressions. This photo gives a glimpse of its charm.

Yokoyama is the closest to Sawada, whose life has started to take an unexpected turn due to ○. Director Ogigami actually projected his own “darkness” to Yokoyama, and in order to embody Yokoyama, Ayano took inspiration from Director Ogigami’s blue hair and colored it red.

Starring in the movie “Let’s go to karaoke!” ” (2024) and the Netflix series “Jijishitachi” are still fresh in our minds, and Ayano’s role creation is a hot topic every time she appears in the role.In this work, too, she tried to bring out her character even in the smallest details. I’m thinking about it. In the script, Yokoyama was portrayed as a person who had an “uncoolness” about him, and who you wouldn’t want to get involved with if possible, but Ayano’s performance reveals that behind his aggressive words and deeds, there is a real humanity. , has sublimated into a character so charming that it even makes you feel endearing.

Domoto also paid the highest praise, saying, “As Ayano-kun’s Yokoyama came to the scene and got involved, I was also able to grasp the kind of person Sawada is.”

At the completion report event held the other day, the two of them, who were working together for the first time, became a hot topic, calling each other “Tsuyoshi-san” and “Aya-chan” and deepening their friendship. Ayano also described co-starring with Domoto as “a time like a reward.”

It is no exaggeration to say that the film “Maru” would have turned out differently if it were not for the collaboration of these two, who heightened the precision of the play as if they were having a session. Pay attention to the dialogue that shows how the two share their feelings.
