■Green Yellow Society performs the national competition/junior high school division song “Because We Are Ikimono” at “NHK National School Music Contest (N Contest)”!
“Utacon” on October 8th will be filled with famous songs left behind by Shinji Tanimura, who will be celebrating one year since his death on this day.
His ally Takao Horiuchi, with his feelings for Tanimura in his heart, performed Alice’s famous song “While Hearing the Train Whistle in the Distance” in a rare collaboration, along with a video of Tanimura singing it while he was still alive.
In addition, junior singers who admire Tanimura will continue singing covers of the famous songs left behind by Tanimura.
Masayuki Suzuki, who once received music from Tanimura, covered “Subaru”, Ayaka Hirahara covered “Iihi Tabidachi”, and Rimi Natsukawa covered “Santo Monogatari”. Erika Ikuta will perform Alice’s debut song “Run, Come, Lover.”
The program also introduces valuable footage that remains on NHK. A special feature featuring famous songs by Shinji Tanimura, who left a great mark on the Japanese music world.
In the second half of the program, Midoriyoshi, who worked on the junior high school club theme song “We Are Ikimono Kara”, will be featured in preparation for the “NHK National School Music Contest (N Contest)” to be held at NHK Hall from October 12th to 14th. The society performs the songs along with the thoughts they put into them.
