Thai trio Tilly Birds releases new song “Retro-39” & MV released

Thai three-piece band Tilly Birds released their new song “Retro-39” today, October 1st (Tuesday). A music video was also released at the same time.

Tilly Birds is an alternative band from Bangkok, Thailand. With hits such as “Just Being Friendly” and “Same Page,” he has established a strong position in Thailand, and has performed at major music festivals such as Hong Kong’s “Clockenflap” and South Korea’s “Busan Rock,” as well as the Philippines, Malaysia, Indonesia, and Laos. , has successfully toured the Asia-Pacific region, including gigs in Cambodia, Singapore, Taiwan, Australia, Japan, and China.

Regarding this work “Retro-39”, which will be the second single released in 2024, vocalist Third said, “After the previous work “White Pills”, I felt that I needed a bright song to change my mood.” Drummer Milo added, “As we were preparing for our next album, we thought it made sense to come up with completely new songs.Songs, like people, age.This song Thanks to this, we realized that we were growing and that we had to make music that fit our lives now.”

The music video was directed by Third, who came up with the idea when he returned from Japan. Teaming up with co-director Cehadoo, they directed films such as (500) Days of Summer, About Time, and Love Actually. The film is said to be a visual homage to romantic comedies such as Love Actually.
