Nagoya-based pop duo sucola released their new single “mocha” today, October 2nd (Wednesday).
sucola is a duo consisting of SSW Okitsu and producer yopeco. Last year, they successfully held a tour to four cities in China, showing success beyond Japan.
This work is a collaboration song with Coffee Abe (ABE), a coffee shop in Nagano Prefecture, Okitsu’s hometown. The lyrics include the coffee shop’s popular menu item “Mocha Cream Ore” and the shop’s catchphrase, making it a song that will make you feel as if you have been there, even if you have never been there. The sound is also more retro, pop, and analog than usual, matching the atmosphere of the store.
Also, on November 29th (Friday), the first independent project “TRIAD” will be held at Tsurumai KD Japon in Nagoya. This performance is a project to commemorate the 7-inch record “Nihon Romantic Kaido / nonfiction (Studio ver.)” that will be released on October 23rd (Saturday), and will be co-starred by Fuki Kitamura and Natsudaidai. . This will be the first time for both groups to perform in Nagoya, and sucola will perform a two-part stage, a duo set and a band set. Band members will include Tomoyuki Oda (key), Shotaro Kaji (bas), and Yuichi Fukaya (dr.) from the Super Mountaineering Club.
Advance tickets can be reserved from the KD Japon event reservation page.

This is a collaboration song with coffee shop[Coffee Aesthetics ABE]in Nagano Prefecture.
It’s my favorite coffee shop that I’ve been going to since I was in high school.
The lyrics include the popular menu[Mocha Cream Ore]and the store’s catchphrase. The approach to lyrics with specific phrases was new to me as well.
I feel that a coffee shop is a place where you can reaffirm the “excitement” of your heart that you tend to forget in everyday life.
I think there are people who, whether alone or with someone else, find a place like that to be their spiritual stronghold even as adults, and I want those people to listen to this song a lot.
I was able to try out a cute retro pop melody that was a little different from my usual songs!
I really like the outro “Kamone♪ Mokane♪”
When you visit Matsumoto, please stop by a coffee shop while listening to this song.

This time, we will be creating a theme song for a long-established coffee shop.
I started creating a sound that had an analog feel that would match the atmosphere of the store.
The drums and flute were recorded, but all the later instruments were played, so I think the result was quite raw.
Also, what I paid the most attention to this time was the chorus, with almost no harmonics, and the arrangement focused on the “uh” and “ha” choruses.
As a result, I think we have created a new sensation scola song with a three-dimensional feel that has never been seen before.
