aimi releases new song “Sippin’ Sake” that reinterprets 2000s R&B

SSW/R&B singer aimi has announced that she will release her new single “Sippin’ Sake” on Wednesday, October 9th.

Since her debut in 2020, aimi has captivated listeners with her singing voice and songs that combine delicacy and power. In April of this year, they released the collaborative single “I’m OK” with US R&B producer LEJKEYS, and in July they released the disco house song “Love Like That.” Also, around the same time, he launched the R&B curation project “R&B Lovers Club” and started the Spotify podcast “Detox Lounge powered by R&B Lovers Club,” and is actively working to prosper the domestic R&B scene.

This work is said to be a highly addictive song that features an R&B sound that is reminiscent of ’00s R&B, featuring a melancholic Latin guitar, and vocalization with heavy chorus work. In the lyric, a woman provocatively seduces someone who has a flirtatious attitude, comparing herself to “sake” and saying, “Once I open the bottle, I can’t wait. Even 7 days a week is not enough, so I want more.” It is said that it depicts psychology.

Modesty Beats and Yui Mugino participated as co-producers, and Ryusei was in charge of mixing and mastering. A lyric video is also scheduled to be released on the day of release.
