■Gen Hoshino’s essay book “From the Car Window of Life 2” continues to be a big hit since Volume 1!
To commemorate the release of Gen Hoshino’s latest essay “From the Car Window of Life 2”, a playlist of songs related to this book has been released.
“From the Train Window of Life” is a series of essays by Hoshino that started in the December 2014 issue of the magazine “Da Vinci”. The second volume is published for the first time in seven and a half years. Contains serialized manuscripts from 2017 to 2023 (irregular serialization *some manuscripts not included during serialization, some revisions), plus 4 newly written articles, for a total of 27 articles + an afterword.
The first edition sold 120,000 copies, and together with the first volume, the cumulative circulation has exceeded 570,000 copies (including e-books), making it a huge hit.
A playlist featuring memorable songs from this book has been released on Apple Music, Spotify, and other streaming services. Listening to each of the songs expressed in the essays after reading the book will give you a new sense of their charm.
