ELSEE has released an illustration MV for “POW POW”.

ELSEE is a dance and vocal group consisting of five members: AKARI, who was a finalist in the audition “Nizi Project” held from 2019 to 2020, as well as KARIN, NANAMI, PONO, and HINA.

When ELSEE’s first song “POW POW”, produced and written by Giga & TeddyLoid, was released on September 27th, the MV exceeded 100,000 views within 3 days of its release. It attracted a lot of attention, rising to 29th place on the iTunes Store single song distribution chart.

Now, a new music video for this song, Elsee Ver., has been released.

The “POW POW” MV (elsee Ver.) released this time features the girl “elsee” who also appeared in the jacket photo of “POW POW”.

It begins with a cut of the song looking down in the city, and the lyrical animation explodes as it intertwines with the solid sounds created by Giga & TeddyLoid, creating a cool and pop finish.

The song was expressed in two worldviews: ELSEE Ver., in which the five-member dance and vocal group ELSEE, which has already been released, appears, and Elsee Ver., in which the character Elsee appears. We also received a comment from YULIA, who was in charge of the illustrations for the jacket photo and MV (elsee Ver.).

The Dance Performance Ver. is scheduled to be released on October 11th.

Additionally, Apple Music and Spotify are running various bonus campaigns where you can get ELSEE original wallpaper images etc. by playing “POW POW”. For details, please visit the official website.

■YULIA Comment
When I listened to “POW POW”, I was very attracted to the gap between light and dark, from the fantastic opening to the onomatopoeic sounds of “POW” that destroy the vague emotions.
In the lyric video, Elsee, a red-haired girl, has a desire to break free from the days she has been stuck in, feels like crying due to emotions she can’t control, but smiles, and hides her emotions in front of others. I think it’s great that you can express the emotions you’ve experienced through exquisite changes in facial expressions!
