It has been announced that BABYMONSTER will release their first album “DRIP”.

On the 8th, YG Entertainment posted “YG Announcement BABYMONSTER 1ST FULL ALBUM ROLLOUT” on their official blog, announcing the release of BABYMONSTER’s first regular album.

In the video released on this day, general producer Yang Hyun Suk explains the nine tracks included in BABYMONSTER’s official album ‘DRIP’. They also shared their hopes and aspirations for an unprecedented special pre-promotion plan and a global tour starting in 2025.

BABYMONSTER, whose executive producer Yang Hyun Suk spearheaded everything from the beginning, officially debuted as a complete group of seven members on April 1st. Despite being newcomers for less than a year, their global achievements have proven to be incredibly impressive.

In fact, BABYMONSTER achieved a new record for a K-Pop girl group’s first debut album at No. 1 with a total of 401,287 copies sold with their first mini-album, “BABYMONS7ER”. The music video for the title song “SHEESH” has achieved 300 million views on YouTube, and the choreography video has also exceeded 150 million views, making them stand out in the global market. The number of registered users, which is considered an indicator of fandom formation, is approaching 7 million.

As interest in BABYMONSTER’s first full-length album continues to heat up, general producer Yang Hyun Suk said, “I really like this album,” showing his confidence in the tracks included. The special promotion strategy unveiled on this day is expected to further heighten expectations for the group’s comeback. YG has taken an unprecedented step by releasing two songs from the album every week, excluding the title song, for about a minute.

Regarding “DRIP,” which consists of nine tracks in total, executive producer Yang Hyun Suk said the following.

The first track “CLIK CLAK” is described as “a hip-hop song with strong originality that even YG has never shown before.” BABYMONSTER opens the first chapter of the album with a new musical endeavor in which all seven members appear as rappers. Regarding the second track, “DRIP,” which has the same name as the album, he said, “It’s a song that makes people want to dance, regardless of age or gender. Please look forward to the passionate performance that BABYMONSTER will show.” Above all, “ G-DRAGON made a surprise announcement, saying, “We put a lot of effort into composing and created good music,” raising expectations.

Next up is “Love, Maybe,” which has a beautiful vocal on top of a guitar performance, “Really Like You,” which has a 90’s hip-hop sensibility, and “BILLIONAIRE,” which has a Y2K sensibility with a heavy 808 bass and an R&B sound, featuring songs by men and women of all ages. “Love In My Heart” is a light song that everyone can enjoy, “Woke Up In Tokyo (RUKA & ASA)” has a hip-hop vibe exclusive to the Japanese members, and the pre-released song “FOREVER” is very popular as an encore song at fan meetings. “BATTER UP (Remix) – Bonus Track”, which is a collection of songs, is included in order.

This regular album will be developed as a super-large project with full support from YG.
